The Job Description:
SimbaNET is looking for an experienced Legal and Regulatory Manager that can advise and guide management on:
Business legal, compliance, and regulatory concerns in Tanzania, particularly those originating from:
- TCRA (The Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority).
- Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA).
- TARURA (the Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency) - Note: This appears to be less relevant to telecommunications; it could be a typo or broader compliance.
- Business Registrations and Licensing Agency (BRELA).
- Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO).
- National Social Security Fund (NSSF).
- And other important regulatory bodies.
- Legal concerns for SimbaNET, WGT (Wananchi Group Tanzania), and WCTL (Wananchi Cable Television Limited), including contracts and court proceedings.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Law (LLB).
- Member of Tanzania Law Society.
- Must be a practicing and certified Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths.
- A minimum of three to seven years of experience in legal practice or business.
